A platform Basket 18.90 Pro Spiderlift belonging to Global Platforms has been out and about on a wet and windy worksite today.

Thanks to global for sharing a great picture.

A great aerial photograph was taken from the cage of a recently purchased Platform Basket 43T Spiderlift by Hijsen Australia. The photo was taken at almost the maximum the machine would reach, but we think the operator could have taken it just that bit more.

Sports venue maintenance spiderlift

Large venue maintenance

Large stadium maintenance can be difficult, even in the largest modern stadiums. Spurs new 62,850 seater Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but, did you know it is the third largest stadium in England? It’s quite the undertaking to build such a stadium, but also to maintain and improve it. How do staff stay safe whilst maintaining it? For the answer we’d like to take you to Tottenham Hotspurs pre season friendly with West Ham United. The venue, Australias third largest stadium, the 61,266 Optus stadium in Perth Australia. Opened two years before the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Optus is of very similar proportions. The scale of the maintenance, as well as health and safety compliance can be overwhelming without the right access equipment. Access to high areas in large stadiums for maintenance can be a daunting task.

Our spiderlifts inside the Optus Stadium

That is the task facing Skywalker rope access, the Perth based company recently did large stadium maintenance on the Optus. This included roofing work, lighting and ducting and also height safety systems all high up in the stadium. To achieve this Skywalker turned to Australian access legends Preston Hire, a fifty years veteran in the global access market. These access experts are multi trade mark holders and have sites all over Australia and clients spanning the world. Their innovation in access platforms is up there with the worlds best, creating several “super series” platforms for a whole range of uses. However, the platform that they recommended in this case was our very own Platform Basket 33.15 Spiderlift. Here it can be seen with a Skywalker team working on the Optus Stadium, thanks to this pic from Preston Hire. Promax Access are proud to have a small part in the maintaining of one of Australias most prestigious stadiums

Sports venue access platforms

The Platform Basket 33.15 spiderlift is just one of a whole range of high quality sports venue access platforms available here at Promax Access. The Platform Basket range has lots of features that fit seamlessly with large stadium maintenance. They are equally at home working indoors, as they are outdoors, and they can pass through a standard residential door width for internal jobs. The handy and lightweight design means low ground pressure on delicate surfaces such as turf and running tracks, or polished and tiled floors inside. This is perfect for both of these multi-use stadiums, particularly when rigging stage equipment for concerts. Thanks to their soft rubber tracks and zero turning radius, the Platform Basket spiderlift range is incredibly nimble in tight spaces. Air, water and power hoses are concealed within the boom. This means that the operator does not have to worry about trailing cables and hoses. This is ideal for large stadium maintenance as all those are confined within the footprint of the platform, even when fully extended! We top these features off with a choice of fully electric and hybrid versions, and our spiderlifts can operate fume free whilst also quickly moving between work sites.

Promax Access specialise in providing high quality large stadium maintenance platforms for the sports industry at home and abroad. We can offer a wealth of advice on choosing the right access platform for the job. Contact us now for more info.

Choosing an access platform for forestry work is no easy task, even for a tree surgeon. However, we believe that our forestry access platforms come with so many benefits that you’d be missing out if you didn’t consider them. Take a look at the following reasons why you should choose our access platforms for forestry work above those of the competition.

Increased Ground Clearance

If you’re a forest manager, arborist, or another professional who maintains woodland, then you want to ensure that whatever equipment you use protects the natural environment. All our forestry access platforms are engineered with increased ground clearance, making them easy to transport over rough terrain, without damaging the undercarriage.

Low ground pressure on the rubber tracks

Conventional access platforms and MEWPS (mobile elevated work platforms) are heavy pieces of machinery that are prone to sinking. The rubber tracks on all of our spider lift access platforms help to prevent damage to soft, delicate, or wet ground. Specifically our forestry access platforms spread the weight over a wide area, avoiding damage to lawns and stopping you from getting “stuck in the mud”. Setting up is as simple on an uneven

Robust tracked chassis

A robust tracked chassis is ideal for difficult terrain, allowing you to carry out work in the forest, no matter how hostile.

Fits through a gateway and travels down a pathway

Our access platforms are designed with accessibility in mind. A platform from us will fit through a gateway and travel down a path.

Cranked outrigger Style

Not all forest floors are flat. Our cranked outrigger style lets you set up on steep inclines and uneven ground securely.

Kubota diesel and/or Honda petrol engine option

We let you choose between a Kubota diesel or Honda petrol engine for your access platform, depending on your needs.

Strong build quality and steel protection covers

The last thing you want is for your machine to be damaged whilst carrying out work. Not only do our platforms have durable build quality, but they also come with steel protection covers to reduce the risk of accidental damage. Access platforms, in our view, should be built to last.

Multi-speed tracking option

Multi-speed tracking options help your access platform operate on a variety of terrain types, giving you complete confidence.

DC/AC electric power for silent & fume free domestic work

We offer a variety of platforms with battery power DC/AC electric motors which operate silently and fume-free. Electric motors are long-lasting and great for the environment. Hybrid powered machines are also available offering even more flexibility.

Can be towed to site on a plant trailer by a suitable vehicle

Transporting our mobile platforms is easy. We’ve worked hard to ensure that you can tow our platforms up to a 22m working height. You can transport our access platforms on a plant trailer under 3,500kg.

Remote control for safer operation

There’s no need to manually interact with our access platforms while tree cutting – that might not be safe. That’s why we offer remote control functionality. You can control your access platform without needing to operate any control on the unit itself.

Our recommendation

If you’re looking for a powered access platform for forestry work consider our Spider 22.10 compact tracked chassis access platform.
